| A few things to know about me.I'm a freelance writer and editor, specializing in travel, interior design, food, books, music, and psychology. I'm also in graduate school at Sarah Lawrence College for an MFA in creative writing. Before I went freelance, I was senior associate editor at O at Home, Oprah's interior-design magazine, and for five years before that, a reporter and feature-writer at Meetings & Conventions magazine. Besides those two, I have written for The New York Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, Hemispheres, and The Advocate. I am also available as a scribe for non-writers and struggling writers, and I teach writing on the side. I'm not your typical words guy. After studying brain psychology at Harvard, I spent a year doing the Thoreau thing on Cape Cod, writing and cooking and realizing my future lay in the media.
